After years of advocacy, planning, and “will-it-ever-happen?” moments, we’re finally seeing trains on the move! And that means it’s time for one of the most important Purple Line NOW forums we’ve ever hosted.
DATE: Tuesday, December 9
TIME: 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Virtual Forum (Free and open to all! But, you MUST register in advance!)
“The Trains Are Rolling -- What Should We Know?!” will take you behind the scenes of this next critical phase: full testing mode. We’ll explore what’s happening on the ground -- from safety protocols and pedestrian access to trail openings, station signage, and how our communities are preparing.
We're finalizing the rest of the panel and will share more names soon, including voices from both Prince George's and Montgomery counties, but we are honored to welcome two powerhouse panelists already confirmed:
- Ray Biggs II, Senior Project Director, Maryland Transit Administration
- Doran Bosso, Chief Executive Officer, Purple Line Transit Partners
This is more than a forum -- it’s a celebration of how far we’ve come and a look at what’s just around the bend!
Have a question regarding this topic for our panelists? Send it to [email protected] soon! Early submissions help us make sure your questions are addressed in our panelists’ remarks.
Don’t wait to register! We know how busy November and December can be and we’d love for you to lock in your spot now before the holiday whirlwind begins.
Let’s mark this milestone together and get ready for the next chapter of the Purple Line journey.
Trailblazer Spotlight: Double Your Impact!
Thanks to a generous matching donor, the first individual or business to contribute at the $2,500 Trailblazer level will have their gift matched -- doubling the impact to help bring our December 9 forum to life!
As our lead donor, the Trailblazer will:
- Open the forum with a 2–3 minute welcome
- Be featured on our event slide deck and registration page
- Receive recognition in our post-event newsletter and social media
Your support helps keep these forums free and open to all -- a tradition we’re proud to uphold. If you’ve been considering a bold step for transit advocacy, this is the moment.
