We’re counting down -- our milestone Purple Line NOW forum is happening in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS! Thank you to everyone who has already registered. If you haven’t yet, now’s the perfect time to snag your spot before Thanksgiving dinner is in the oven!
Why This Forum Matters
After years of advocacy, planning, and those “will-it-ever-happen?” moments, trains are finally on the move! That means it’s time for one of the most important forums we’ve ever hosted.
Date: Tuesday, December 9
Time: 7:00 – 8:30 pm
Virtual Forum: Free and open to all (but you must register in advance!)
Our program, “The Trains Are Rolling -- What Should We Know?!” will take you behind the scenes of this critical testing phase. We’ll cover everything from safety protocols and pedestrian access to trail openings, station signage, and how our communities are preparing for the next chapter.
Meet the Panelists
We’re thrilled to welcome an outstanding lineup representing the project and both counties:
- Ray Biggs II, Senior Project Director, Maryland Transit Administration
- Doran Bosso, CEO, Purple Line Transit Partners
- Eric C. Olson, Prince George’s County Council Member
- Kate Stewart, Montgomery County Council President
- Maricela Cordova, MCDOT Special Assistant to the Director, Strategic Projects
And more names are coming soon!
Have Questions for the Panelists?
Send questions regarding our forum's theme to [email protected]. Early submissions help us weave your questions right into the panelists’ remarks.
Trailblazer Spotlight: Double Your Impact!
Thanks to a generous matching donor, the first individual or business to contribute at the $2,500 Trailblazer level will have their gift matched -- doubling the impact to help bring this forum to life!
As our lead donor, the Trailblazer will:
- Kick off the forum with a 2–3 minute welcome
- Be featured on our event slide deck and registration page
- Receive recognition in our post-event newsletter and social media
Your support keeps these forums free and open to all -- a tradition we’re proud to uphold. If you’ve been considering a bold step for transit advocacy, this is the moment. You can contribute at this link.
This isn’t just a forum -- it’s a celebration of how far we’ve come and a look at what’s just around the bend. Let’s mark this milestone together!
From all of us at Purple Line NOW, we wish you a joyful and delicious Thanksgiving. We are deeply grateful for your support, your questions, and your enthusiasm for the journey ahead.
