Allocate funds for the State’s share of construction of the Purple Line

  • Fund the final design and construction of this project to improve mobility in the Washington region, revitalize communities, and protect our environment.

  • Take immediate steps to advance the Purple Line this spring

  • Open a project office for the Purple Line in the Takoma-Langley Crossroads area to facilitate a community-driven planning process.

  • Support fast track design and construction of the Purple Line/Red Line connection in Bethesda.

  • Support planning, design and construction of the Purple Line/Orange Line connection and transitway/pedestrian crossing in New Carrollton.

  • Reactivate the State’s transit-oriented development planning so as to maximize the revitalization benefits of the Purple Line in communities along its path.
