How You Can Help

The Performing Arts Center is at 7995 Georgia Avenue, just south of where East-West Highway/Burlington Avenue crosses Georgia Avenue and on the west side of the Montgomery College Takoma Park Campus.

Directions to the Takoma Campus and a map of the campus is available HERE. The Performing Arts Center is marked 'PC' on the campus map.

Parking will be available on the evening of the event at two spots on the West Campus adjacent to the Performing Arts Center. The West Campus Garage ('WG' on the map) will be open, and some parking will also be available the surface lot ('W1' on the map) directly east of the Performing Arts Center. Campus Security will be directed to not ticket cars without permits during the PLN reception.

If you are traveling south on Georgia Avenue from downtown Silver Spring, attempting to turn left onto Jessup Blair Drive next to the Health Sciences Center will be very difficult and very dangerous especially during rush hour. Instead, we strongly suggest that if you are traveling south on Georgia Avenue to the campus to turn right on King Street, left on Eastern Avenue and left at the stoplight at Georgia Avenue. This will place you in the north-bound flow of traffic where you can safely turn right onto Jessup Blair Drive to enter the West Campus Garage and/or the 'W1' surface lot.

Off campus public parking is also available nearby, at the County Parking Lot 9 on King Street 1/2 block west of Georgia Avenue, and at County Garage 9 with entrances from Kennett Street and Eastern Avenue. The County map to these facilities is HERE.

Ride On Bus Service is provided to The Performing Arts Center by the Silver Spring VanGo shuttle. The VanGo leaves the Silver Spring Transit Center approx. every 7 minutes on weekday evenings and travels directly down Georgia Avenue to the corner of the campus at 13th Street. Metro Bus Service is provided on Georgia Avenue by Metro routes 70 and 71. Buses have an approx. 15-20 minute headway during weekday evenings, the schedule and map is available HERE.
